As a bustier lady I’ve always avoided roll necks because of the dreaded ‘boob rectangle’. Without a neckline to define your chest your breasts can and do meld into one large rectangle shape that flatters no one. However, this one, £6 from Primark, is just that little bit cropped, which breaks up my long torso but also prevents my body from being subsumed by fabric.
I paired this outfit with my brown Primark boots from my ‘Ripped Nerd’ OOTD and my brown satchel [not pictured] to prevent ‘match-y match-y’ syndrome and give myself a mild pop of colour. This is definitely up there as one of my favourite A/W 2015 trends/outfits.
I have the same issue, but I’ve decided to say screw it, because I don’t want to miss out on wearing turtlenecks. This top looks great on you, what a great find!

So sorry for being so late in replying, Jessica, but it’s been a hectic week…for about three weeks.
Thank you so much for the compliment. There seem to be a lot of unwritten rules when it comes to bustier chests and clothes and, honestly, I don’t think we should listen to half of them. I also may have popped back and got another couple in black, purple, cream and mustard. Layering is going to be big, especially with suede dresses/skirts this season so these are definitely a bargain find and wash well.
I wish you luck on your turtleneck adventures. May your future be filled with warm and coziness!
xoxo, Rae.
